LESS THAN 4% OF WOMEN OWNED FIRMS WIN CONTRACTSYou’ve heard success stories from business owners who have pursued strategic alliances, corporate contracts, or government contracts, but you have been confused by the process. Or worse yet, you’ve tried one or two of these strategies with poor results. Despite the growth in the number of businesses started by women in the last decade, less than 4% successfully win government contracts. Winning corporate contracts is not much easier either. The road to achieving a multi-million dollar business is littered with many dangers and much inaccurate information. The Women’s Venture Fund’s Growing Your Profit program is geared toward assisting women business owners, with profitable businesses, ready to move to this next level of business success. If you are still working on your business fundamentals, then start with the Women’s Venture Fund’s Building a Great Business program.
The Growing Your Profit program is limited to more advanced businesses. You will need to complete an application for consideration in this program. This program starts with an assessment of you as a business leader, and of the health of your current business. A visit to your business will be scheduled shortly thereafter. Once the assessment process is complete, you will participate in a rigorous 12 week seminar, where each session will be 2 hours long. Seminar topics will include:
